rabbitgirl still in pins

Rabbitgirl. Pins will be removed when finished

My studio is behind our gallery. I like to tell visitors about the art in our gallery and listen to the stories that they have when seeing the work. Often they reveal personal little memories about their lives.
Yesterday, when working on the rabbitgirl, the visitor told me about the landscape of his youth. He lived nearby a field covered with sundew, now a rare plant. He didn’t dare to go back, to see what is left over from this lovely place. Probably some residential area.
He had good questions about the work that I made. For me it is hard to find words that match the content of the work. The artworks always have several layers: a political content, a vision on the position of nature and animals in our world and a personal content.
Talking about the work with the visitors helps me to see how they perceive the work, to check of these deeper layers are seen.
